Howard L. Wolk
Chairman

Howard Wolk is the Chairman of Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT) and the Co-President of The Cross Country Group (CCG), a privately held organization consisting of emergency assistance, direct marketing and customer service businesses serving Fortune 1000 clients. He began his career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he participated in a number of corporate finance, merger and acquisition and joint venture transactions. He joined the White House as Associate Counsel for the transition team during the Clinton Administration, vetting candidates for positions in the Departments of Treasury and Justice. Mr. Wolk received B.A. and B.S.Ec. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School and an M.P.A. degree from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He is a member of the Massachusetts, New York and DC Bar Associations. He is an Overseer of the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center, a member of the Board of Visitors of Columbia Law School, and a member of the Board of Directors of Satellife, an international healthcare information services non-profit that supports community health organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa and elsewhere.


Robert I. Adler
President

Rob is an experienced, hands-on, entrepreneurial leader with a track record of success.  Over twenty years he has co-founded four technology companies, and remains an active advisor, investor, and mentor  for several  Boston-area growth companies.  As President of FRT, Rob oversees an industry-leading team with proven expertise at recovering assets for eligible investors in securities class action settlements. Previously, Rob co-founded CCBN and served as its President from the company’s inception in 1997 until its sale to Thomson Financial in 2004.  CCBN was a pioneer in enabling direct communications between public companies and the investment community over the Internet.  The company’s popular StreetEvents product offered a calendar of events for professional investors and became a staple on the desktop of the investment community. CCBN brought many Web-based and compliance-related innovations to market, including live webcasting and full-text, real-time transcription of thousands of corporate earnings calls every quarter. Rob graduated with a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard University, where he was a Baker Scholar. Rob is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College and serves on the Jimmy Fund Visiting Committee.


Christopher Doggett
Executive Vice President

Christopher Doggett is Executive Vice President of Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT).  Previously, Mr. Doggett was Vice President at Sophos, the world’s largest privately held information security company.  At Sophos, he was the worldwide leader for channel sales and was responsible for the firm’s partner sales and marketing programs, infrastructure and strategy. Prior to Sophos, Mr. Doggett held various strategic and business development positions in the technology industry as Senior Vice President at Firetower, Vice President at NWN Corporation, and as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the firm’s financial services division.  Mr. Doggett began his career in the investment industry, holding sales and operations positions at Eaton Vance and North American Management Corporation. Mr. Doggett holds an MBA and an MS in management information systems from Boston University, with concentrations in strategy, marketing and operations.  He received his BA from The Colorado College.


Jeffrey B. Kirstein
Director of Operations

Jeffrey Kirstein is the Operations Director of Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). Previously, he was the chief accountant and head of operations for Flagg Street Capital LLC, a long/short opportunistic value hedge fund. At Flagg Street, he had substantial daily involvement with prime brokers, fund administrators and legal counsel. He was responsible for the preparation and presentation of data directly to portfolio managers and annual reporting. Prior to Flagg Street, Mr. Kirstein was a mutual fund accountant for Delaware Investments, a financial consultant for Sage Financial Group, and an equities trader for Heartland Securities. He received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Accounting and Finance.


David Pineau
Director of Information Technology

David Pineau is the Director of Information Technology at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT).  Prior to joining FRT, he worked as an independent consultant specializing in the design, development and management of proprietary financial & accounting systems for clients ranging from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston to leading student loan and mortgage lenders.   David’s entrepreneurial experience includes serving as the Vice President of Product Development for multiple startups in the finance technology sector including Disbursement Management Associates and Billbetter.net.  He has also served as a Senior Product Manager for Niku Corp. (now a division of CA Technologies) where he managed strategic partnerships and project accounting solutions.  He began his software career as a Business Analyst for Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C., one of Boston’s premier Intellectual Property firms designing and managing their proprietary financial and legal systems.  A US Patent holder, Mr. Pineau received a BA in Biology from the University of Vermont with a concentration in Chemistry.


Zachary Goldberg

Vice President

Zachary Goldberg is a Vice President at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). Previously he was with Bear Stearns, where he advanced to the role of Managing Director in the Global Equity Sales Group. His responsibilities included covering top mutual fund and hedge fund portfolio managers and analysts; providing strategic advice regarding investment strategies, market intelligence, competitive landscape research; and a variety of capital markets and prime brokerage services. In addition, he created a business development and relationship management role focused on public and private companies, helping position them in the marketplace, meet new investors, and raise capital. Mr. Goldberg graduated Cum Laude from Skidmore College, with a BA in English Literature.


Anthony L. Burnham
Vice President

Anthony L. Burnham is a Vice President at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). Previously, Mr. Burnham was a Relationship Manager at Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE: HPY), the 5th largest payments processor in the United States, delivering credit card and payroll processing solutions. At Heartland, he created a portfolio of over 300 new recurring revenue customers. Prior to Heartland, Mr. Burnham held senior sales positions at DST International, Solution Atlantic and at Thomson Financial divisions of Municipal Market Data and Mueller Data. He began his career as a business systems analysis at First Data Corporation/TSSG and Capital Bank and Trust. Mr. Burnham has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience providing both front and back office solutions into the financial services industry. He holds a BS in Mathematics, with a concentration in computer science from Bates College.


Andy Parven
Vice President

Andy Parven is a Vice President at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT).  Previously he was with First Coverage, a firm providing unique proprietary alpha capture systems and quantitative sentiment feeds.  His responsibilities included covering buy side mutual fund and hedge fund portfolio managers, providing unique data and ensuring clients simplified the capture, tracking and monetization of trade ideas of all sell-side high conviction recommendations.  Prior to First Coverage, Mr. Parven held senior sales and management roles at Institutional Shareholder Services/MSCI, Shareholder.com/NASDAQ, Forefield/Broadridge and Thomson Financial/Reuters.  Mr. Parven has over 15 years sales and management experience providing both front and back office solutions to the financial services industry.  Mr. Parven holds an MBA in finance from Boston University, and received his BA from Tufts University.


Michael Simon
Vice President

Michael Simon is a Vice President at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT).  Previously, Mr. Simon was a Director of Corporate Business Development for Highline Financial; a firm which was recently acquired by Thomson Reuters.  Prior to joining Highline, Mr. Simon was a Director of Global Accounts at Moody’s Analytics, the products and services division of Moody’s Investor Service (NYSE: MCO). At Moody’s, he managed a global portfolio of clients, including such high-profile accounts as Bank of America, IBM, General Electric, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and Blackrock. In addition to Highline Financial Mr. Simon has held sales positions at Thomson Financial, E*TRADE Financial, Charles Schwab and Salomon Smith Barney.  He began his career as an options broker with Smith Barney Shearson. Mr. Simon has almost 20 years of experience selling services, application software and research to the financial services industry.  He holds a BS in Marketing and Finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

 

Christopher Higgins
Client Services & Operations Associate

Christopher Higgins is the Client Services and Operations Associate at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). Before joining FRT, Christopher spent five years with John Hancock, most recently as a Marketing Specialist for their Long-Term Care Insurance division. In this role, Christopher gained extensive project management skills while generating marketing and sales collateral and managing client relationships. Prior to that role, he was the Sales Communication Coordinator with the Business Development Group in the Variable Annuity department at John Hancock. This position consisted of managing the group’s CRM system, coordinating the activities of a 30-person internal sales desk, and executing complex sales and marketing campaigns. Christopher received a B.A. in Mass Communication from Quinnipiac University and an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Suffolk University.

 

Christopher Looby
Associate Director - Product Development

Christopher Looby is the Associate Director of Product Development at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). Previously he was an associate consultant with RoadMap Technologies, where he designed and implemented their online enterprise management portal, currently used at several global corporations to facilitate inventory management and forecasting. In addition to his improvements to RoadMap’s existing products, Christopher opened new sales channels to the company by developing the web product, TradePlanning.com, which forecasts returns from marketing campaigns, sales and promotions. Christopher received his A.B. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Harvard University and his M.B.A. from Boston University.

 

David Roth
Senior Database Admisitrator

David Roth is a Senior Database Administrator at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT).  He has over 30 years of industry related experience spanning the finance, retail and healthcare sectors. David is a former Oracle Consultant and instructs Oracle certificate training, and currently serves as a faculty member at Merrimack University. David received a BS in engineering from UCLA, an MS in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Northeastern.

 

Tawsif Choudhury
Data Analyst

Tawsif Choudhury is a Data Analyst at Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). Prior to joining FRT, Tawsif was an intern at Kenmore Consulting where he conducted primary research for third-party smartphone applications. Tawsif is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Management, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems.
