David L. Bedard
Senior Advisor

David Bedard is the former President of Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). He currently focuses on leading a new venture related to FRT’s core business. Previous to FRT, he was with Bear Stearns, where he was part of a special team charged with developing a fund to acquire and manage defined benefit pension plans. Prior to Bear Stearns, he was the President and a member of the board of directors of Sonnax Industries, Inc., an automotive parts manufacturer. He led the leveraged buyout of Sonnax in 2004 and sold his interest to a private equity buyer in 2006. Prior to Sonnax, he was Chief Operating Officer of Skip Barber Racing, LLC, an automotive entertainment and racing company, and an associate in JP Morgan's mergers and acquisition group. Mr. Bedard began his career as a research engineer for Shell Oil Company in Houston. He holds an MBA from Boston University and an MS and BS in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

 

Thomas O. Jones
Senior Advisor

Thomas Jones is a senior member of the advisory board for Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT) and works actively with FRT on a wide range of strategic and business issues. He was a co-founder of Epsilon, the nation's leading database marketing company, and served as its CEO until it was acquired by American Express. A graduate of MIT and Harvard, he has taught on the full-time faculty of both the Harvard Business School and MIT's Sloan School. Mr. Jones is featured in a number of HBS Publishing products, including the Harvard Business Review. He is a recognized expert in the area of customer loyalty and personalized marketing and speaks widely on issues relating to organizational innovation and transformation.


Charles E. F. Millard
Advisor

Mr. Millard, a member of the advisory board for Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT), works actively with FRT on a wide range of strategic and channel development issues. He is currently the president of Cardinal Advisors, a private financial services consultancy, with a particular emphasis on pensions, institutional investors and governments. Previously, Mr. Millard was the Director of the United States Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Under Millard’s leadership, the corporation’s deficit was reduced from $18 billion to $11 billion, and the corporation adopted a more diversified investment policy. As the first Director of the PBGC to be confirmed by the United State Senate, Mr. Millard served as the chief executive officer of the corporation and carried the rank of Under Secretary. Prior to these roles, he was the President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Chairman of the New York City Industrial Development Agency, and was twice elected to the New York City Council. He received a B.A. Honors Degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D from Columbia Law School, where he was ranked as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar each year.


Anthony H. Leness
Advisor

Anthony Leness is a member of the advisory board of Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT) and works actively with FRT on a number of different initiatives, including ongoing enhancements to its service offering and technology infrastructure. He is currently a partner at Lincoln Peak Capital Management, LLC, a private investment firm focused exclusively on investing in asset management firms. He previously was the Vice President, Treasurer and a director of EventMonitor, Inc. (EM), a financial technology firm providing advanced solutions to investment management and trading firms. Prior to EM, Mr. Leness was an investment professional at The Beacon Group, LLC a private equity firm based in New York, and in investment banking at Smith Barney, Inc. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Hamilton College.


Peter Cousins
Technology Advisor

Peter Cousins is a member of the advisory board of Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT). He is the senior technology architect and is actively involved with all infrastructure development projects. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Unica (UNCA), a publicly traded company that provides enterprise marketing management software to financial services, insurance, retail, and telecommunications industries worldwide. He previously served as the CTO of Itemfield, Inc. and as the technology director at IONA. Mr. Cousins is a business-focused product visionary who founded a major product sector (EAI), inspired a product-based turnaround at a struggling public company, advised customers on how to transform their businesses through technology, and created products that have generated over $100M in sales. He has 25 years experience and has been the architect of mission critical financial systems, including Deutsche Bank's Money Transfer operations, JPMorgan's Fixed Income Trading system, and Prudential's Call Center operations.
